The Work Of A Beauty Pageant Judge
Ty Griffin (Beauty Pageant Judge) gives expert video advice on: Why do you want to be a beauty pageant judge?; Do you get emotionally attached to any of the pageant contestants?; How is judging beauty pageants different from judging America's Top Models?
Do you get emotionally attached to any of the pageant contestants?
It's nerve wracking because you hate to tell... you hate to see others go home. You want everyone to win, I want everyone to win. They're all wonderful girls and so yeah, the one day process is kind of sad. You kind of grow an affinity for them and then you see them go but that's part of the business and they understand that. So it's not bad.
How is judging beauty pageants different from judging America's Top Models?
They're similar but they're not. You know modelling, runway, you know all that, you know high fashion is a little different than pageants. They have their similarities but I think it was great training. It was great training because America's Next Top Model was tough and I was on the first season and the budget was like a dollar fifty, so it was great learning. I was able to just walk right in, glided right in to this easy, and it was fun.
