Thrift Store Shopping
What should I know about shopping at a thrift or consignment store?
When you're shopping in a thrift or consignment store, I think the main thing is to be careful of the quality of the shirt. By quality, I don't mean, is it a high-end expensive line, but I mean is there a smell to it, are there stains, is it really worse for wear, are there any holes, rips, tears, and any of that stuff. Stay away from the items that just look like they've been around the block too many times.
How can I tell if something is valuable at a thrift store?
Things you want to look for at a thrift or a consignment store, again is the quality. If it's a name brand, great for you, you just made a huge score. If you know your name brands of course. Next you want to look for where it's made, the stitching, how it's put together. If it's something that is of high quality, it won't look so worse for wear. Go ahead and pick it up, you just made yourself a shopping score.
