Using My Psychic Abilities
What were the first signs of your psychic abilities?
The first time I discovered, that I remember now, looking back, my Psychic awareness was when I was three years old. I used to find all these faces and hands coming out of the wall and it did use to scare me, but I thought everybody had this. But then on a conscious level when I was seven years old a friend of mine came over for a sleepover and I all these books lined up on this wall. And she held on to this one book and she said, "Guess which book I'm holding onto?" And I went, "The Princes and The Pea", and she said, "Oh my God, yes its the Princess and The Pea!" Well we tried it eight times and eight times I was right and it got to the point where we absolutely scared ourselves so much that we were laughing and that my mom and dad ended up coming in and wondered what was going on. But we freaked ourselves out.
How did you discover your psychic talent?
I first discovered, on a conscious level, that I could do this to help people, you know, my psychic awareness, was when I was in my twenties, and a friend of mine had called me up. And of course, I've always had these feelings and thoughts, and abilities, but I never really used it to help anybody. And she called me up, she says "I'm having terrible trouble with my, my boyfriend", and out of nowhere these words went : "He's cheating on you", and it was like I need to just, to pull these words back into my mouth. She said "Okay, tell me all you know". I said "Well, I don't really know anything. What I keep getting given is that he's cheating on you with this girl", and I gave the name, and I gave the name of where they initially met, and I kept saying "I just keep seeing number 2". And, as it actually happened, the 2 was, her boyfriend had been dating this girl for two weeks. And her name was the name that I gave, and the pub was the name of the pub that they met in, and she worked in, and it kind of freaked us both out. And it was from that moment that she said "Lisa, I have some people who want readings from you", and it was like, "I don't do readings". And that was the beginning of, the beginning of, the start of my career.
Can I use psychic abilities to help me cheat at cards?
I believe that you can't use Psychic ability to cheat at cards, for your own good, in the sense of your own self gain. Of course you can have a gut reaction, if that card dealer wants to turn over that card and you've gone bust. That gut reaction will say 'yes' or 'no', you have to listen to that. But I've never used my ability to play cards. And I don't think you can.
If I can see the future, can I change it?
It is an interesting question I get asked about if somebody else can see their future, could they change it. Well certain things are set in stone. You know we may have to meet certain people for our life to take off a different pathway. But then there are certain instances where we will get given as a premonition form, an idea of what is going to happen. And when that actually happens and you can everything, see the build up, that is when you can make a difference and you can change. And it has happened with me. I actually said to a lady tell your son not to go out in this car on a particular day and described the scene. And I said you will have to find another way. And what would have happened had he actually gone the way he would have gone, he would not be here now. So in some respects we saved his life.
Can I use psychic abilities to make someone like me?
Can we use our psychic ability to make someone like us? Well, you know sometimes personalities just don't work. So, I don't think it's really necessary to bring our psychic awareness of our ability into this because if personalities clash, they clash. You can't really do much about it.
Is it safe to nurture psychic abilities in children?
There's a huge debate on whether it's safe to nurture abilities in children: psychic awareness, spiritual awareness, healing. I have a son, Charlie, who's nearly eight, and he has a very strong healing ability. I don't force it upon him, I don't teach him. But the fact that he tells me something that to others may seem strange, I let him talk. I think it's important that we keep children open. We don't necessarily have to teach them, but I think it's a matter of keeping them open to the other realms.
Will using my psychic abilities conflict with my religion?
We all have a psychic awareness. Whether or not we like it, we all have it. And there are many people who have also a very strong religious belief. It can be a conflict, it really can. But you have to work out what it is that you want to do and be true to yourself. And I believe that religion is just another form of spirituality, no matter what religion it is. And God gave us all a gift. It could be a gift of painting, a gift of music. I have a gift of communicating with those who are no long with us. God gave us that gift, so why wouldn't he want us to use it? But after all, it really doesn't matter what I say, because as long as you know in your own heart what you should do, what you want to do, and trust your instincts, then it really doesn't matter.
