Visit Visa

What is a 'visit visa'?

Who is eligible for a visit visa?

Do I need to apply for a visit visa?

You would need to apply for a visit visa if you were a visa national. That means, one of the specified nationalities that it is obligatory to have a visa to come to the United Kingdom. If you are a non-visa national, it is not necessary to apply for a visa at a British diplomatic mission abroad. You would merely satisfy the immigration officer at the port of arrival that your intentions were genuine and at the end of your visit, you would leave the United Kingdom following your stay.
