What do wedding gowns cost these days?
Wedding gowns cost anything from approximately $500 dollars up to $25,000 dollars. For the most part, it is difficult to find a wedding gown for less than $1,000 dollars, but the average gown is going to cost you just over $1,000 dollars, and a corture gown will start anywhere from $1,500 dollars right up to $25,000 dollars for a handmade exclusive gown. Most bridal stores think of moderate price ranges between $1,000 and $2,500.
What makes an expensive wedding gown worth the extra money?
An expensive wedding gown is typically made in a couture house. That's a loosely used word these days. But you're going to be paying for luxury fabrics, silks, and handmade, typically French, lace, and also for hand-done bead-work, as opposed to bead-work or embroidery applied in a factory.
Are there special wedding gowns for pregnant brides?
There are special wedding gowns for pregnant brides, but as yet, very few designers are making gowns specifically for pregnant brides. What most bridal stores can do is find a style that will be suitable for you and alter it accordingly.
How can a bridal consultant help me choose a wedding dress?
A bridal consultant is an expert salesperson, somebody that can help you choose your gown. She knows everything there is to know about bridal fabrics, about sizing, and about the process that it takes to order and purchase your gown.
