What are some ways to easily cut my invitation list?

It's really important to think about who the closest people are to you and to the bride and to the groom. First, you should start with your family and then move on to friends. I think you should also consider the friends that are in your future not necessarily in your past, friends in the past you haven't been in touch with.

Should I order one invitation for every guest?

You should not order one invitation per person, but rather per couple or per household. A single person should receive their own invitation.

Do I have to invite my entire family to my wedding?

You should absolutely invite your entire family to the wedding.

What percent of the guests invited will usually decline?

Obviously there is not a set number of guests that will decline, but traditionally we've seen anywhere between 10 and 30 percent. I like to usually tell my brides between ten and twenty.

Should I factor in the probably 'no's' when I decide how many invitations to mail?

You should absolutely not factor in the probable no's in determining the amount of invitations you should send out. And the law of averages, obviously people are not going to come, but what if everyone does or can and you can't accommodate them?
