Wedding Invitation Etiquette
How do I handle people who assume their invitation is 'plus one' when it isn't?
It puts you in a difficult position when people assuming their wedding invitation has a plus one, but I think it's very important for you to be honest with them. Say, "Unfortunately you are not able to have a guest." Just remember it's your wedding and you should have the people there that you want to be there.
What is the etiquette for last minute invitations?
Based on my experience, I don't think last minute invitations are appropriate.
Should I send a wedding invitation to those who've already told me they can't come?
You should absolutely send wedding invitations to those people who have already told you that they will not be able to attend. It is rude not to.
Should children over 18 receive their own invitation if they still live at home?
Children over 18 who still live at home should receive their own invitation.
Is it ok to mention gifts on the invitation?
It's inappropriate to mention gifts on the invitation. However, if you would like to include a card that says, “for further wedding details, please visit” and list a website, it is appropriate to have on your website hotel accommodations, weekend itineraries along with gift registries.
