Use etiquette to help develop business relationships by doing what I call, 'self forget'. And to self-forget in business means that I'm putting the focus on them. I'm not there to sell my self, I'm there to focus on them, to find out what I can about them so they will trust me. It's counterintuitive to think if, I tell them enough about my self, if I dazzle them, and if I do the best I can to make they think I'm important, they will trust me. That's a misguided perception as in fact it's just the opposite. The less you focus on yourself the more people will trust you, so use etiquette that way to develop business relationships.
