How do I break my story down into chapters?

When you get to the point of breaking down your story into chapters, it should become apparent where the breaks come. There is often a change in the point of view where another character's perspective is taken up by the author. Or it's a break in time or situation and that basically is it. But the rest should be apparent and you'll find that your instincts are probably your best guides where chapter breaks come in.
