How To Make Brazilian Hot Dogs

Here’s how to make Brazilian hot dogs, perfect for the World Cup celebrations.

INGREDIENTS:
250 g mince
1/4 onion
Small heap of mash potato
Sweet corn
1 carrot, grated
Large handful of shredded lettuce
8 olives sliced
Mayonnaise
Tomato ketchup
English mustard
1/2 green pepper, chopped
200 ml beef stock
1 tsp tomato puree
1 tsp dry thyme
Pepper
1 tsp lime juice
Parmesan
4 hot dog buns
4 hot dog sausages

Cook = 15m
Total = 30m

STEP 1: PREPARE THE MINCE FILLING
Brown off the mince in a hot pan with a little oil, then add half an onion and half a chopped green pepper and cook for 4-5 minutes. Next add the garlic and cook for a minute. Add the beef stock, 1 tsp tomato puree, 1 tsp of thyme and a grind of black pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes until reduced, then top with a squeeze of lime.

STEP 2: COOK THE HOT DOGS
Cook the hot dogs on a hot griddle pan for a few minutes until cooked through on both sides.

STEP 3: ASSEMBLE
Assemble the hot dogs, using as many or as few of the toppings as you like. Enjoy!
