About Phil Avery
Phil Avery is a geography teacher at Oxted School in Surrey. Like many teachers, Phil has the opportunity to indulge his own interests by participating in the school’s extracurricular program. He believes that extracurricular activities enrich students' education and teach them skills that will be invaluable to them in later life. Towards the end of 2007, Phil will be undertaking an intense and exciting challenge as he has been chosen to embark on an expedition to the Antarctic.
