Lord Andrew Phillips OBE sat in the House of Lords as a Liberal Democrat and spoke on issues concerning civil liberties. He was made a life peer in 1998 as Baron Phillips of Sudbury. He resigned from the House in 2006.
His career has seen him appear on countless media programmes, namely as the legal advisor on the Jimmy Young show and as presenter of LWT's London Programme.
Today he is involved with trying to restore peace in the Middle East making several trips to the region.
