USEX0054 Expert Director of Palliative Care, Citrus Valley Health Partners and Hospice David Kessler David Kessler is an accomplished journalist, international lecturer and author who has dedicated his life to helping people understand the complex emotions attached to death, dying, grief and loss. His work has been discussed in the Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Business Week and Life Magazine and has been featured on CNN, NBC, MSNBC, PBS. He has written for the “Boston Globe,” “ LA Times” and “The San Francisco Chronicle." David Kessler authored The Needs of the Dying and worked closely with world-renowned author and psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, who was the first to propose to the world the five stages of grief. Before her death in 2004, they also co-authored two internationally recognized books, On Grief and Grieving and Life Lessons, which have helped people understand death and the meaning of life. Mr. Kessler is currently the director of Palliative care for Citrus Valley Health Partners and Hospice and works with physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, non-profit organizations and support groups across the nation.
