As director for SCEC’s outreach program, Mr. Benthien educates the general public to increase earthquake awareness, reduce economic losses, and save lives by increasing the understanding of earthquake science and knowledge for all education levels and by promoting earthquake preparedness, planning, response, and recovery at home and at work.
