We all love a cookie recipe here at Videojug. But stuff them Nutella and we love them even more. Here’s how to make them.
120 g Butter
1 tbsp Maple Syrup
170 g Self Raising Flour
85 g Caster Sugar
1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of Soda
120 g Chocolate Chips
Tub of Nutella
STEP 1: PREHEAT OVEN
Preheat the oven to 190°C/gas mark 5 and line 2 baking trays with grease proof paper.
STEP 2: MELT BUTTER
Melt the butter and syrup in a saucepan over a low heat until dissolved.
STEP 3: MIX INGREDIENTS
While the butter & syrup are dissolving, in a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar and bicarbonate of soda.
STEP 4: LEAVE TO COOL AND ADD CHOCOLATE CHIPS
Pour the melted butter & syrup into the flour mixture and mix together. Leave the mixture to cool for a few minutes before stirring in the chocolate chips. If the mixture is too hot it will melt the chocolate.
STEP 5: FORM SMALL BALLS
Using your hands, pick up a spoonful of the mixture. Flatten in the palm of your hand and spoon in 1 heaped tsp of nutella to the center of each one. Add another spoonful of the cookie mixture on top and pinch the edges to ensure the Nutella is fully enclosed. Flatten them slightly and place on the lined trays, making sure that there’s plenty of space for them to spread in the oven.
STEP 6: BAKE AND SERVE
Bake in the oven for 10–13 minutes until the dough has spread into cracked looking biscuits. Leave to cool for a few minutes before serving.
