This number is made up of children who are runaway’s, whom have been kidnapped and those that have been thrown out by their parents. The best way to protect your children from potential predators is to keep communication open, talk to them about what to look out for and always have a way for them to be able to reach you most likely through both you and them both having access to cell phones.
