Female Boxing

Boxing is known as the sweet science, and its combination of intuition, technical skill and sheer brutality have attracted fans from all elements of society. Though female boxers have been involved in the sport since the 18th century, it wasnt until the 1990s that they started attracting mainstream attention. As interest in mixed martial arts grows, female fighters are taking on cage fighting as part of their violent repertoire. Whether in the ring or the Octagon, they continue to challenge themselves as athletes, and as women in a masculine world.
