Sewing

“Sew... a needle pulling thread.”, as the song goes. Sewing is one of the most ancient of human activities, dating back to the Palaeolithic era (30,000 years ago). It even pre-dates the weaving of cloth, being used then to stitch skins and pelts. It remains, though, a basic skill, being mostly used in households these days to alter and repair clothes and in the making of curtains and other household furnishings.
