Asia’s gold medalists will travel to the United States in 2004 to compete against the world’s best action sports athletes. Moving into its fifth year of competition, the ESPN Junior X Games promises to be bigger & better than ever. Over 80 junior athletes, ages 8- 14 from over 12 different Asia Pacific countries will be competing in this event. This three-day event for aspiring action sports athletes, includes clinics and workshops with pro X Games athletes, such as Ryan Nyquist, as well as competitions in events modeled after those seen at the X Games. These future star athletes will compete for medals and a trip to the ultimate action sports camp in the world, Camp Woodward.

West Linn Skatepark

The West Linn Oregon skatepark is an awesome place to skate. The West Linn Skate park is known for its large, fast bowls and its huge oververt. This is a great Oregon Skatepark.There also is a nice shallow area with a pyramid and many street objects including a four stair, ledges, and a rail.It also connects to a nice beginner bowl which is surrounded on 3 side by the deep ends of the snake run and bowls.This park rules for pool coping lovers! You will find that there are many more awesome Oregon Skateparks and this is one that is used for skateboard competitions like the Oregon Trifecta.

Skateboarding The Nude Bowl

The nude bowl was famous skateboarding pool for about 20 years. They buried and and around 2000 Bluetorch went out there and dugg it out and reskated it. The Nude Bowl is a kidney shaped swimming pool that was at the nudist resort the Desert Gardens Ranch hence the name the nude bowl. It is located outside of Desert Hot Springs California. Section one featured a bump to box by the judges stand, a hip to blast from, Hubbas, and rails. The bump to flat bar saw the most action in this area—Chad Bartie heelflip front board, Reynolds kickflip front lip, Sheckler kickflip front board, Colt Cannon kickflip front board, and on and on. Section two had some of the same stuff but with a couple Euro gaps, gap to Hubbas, a half of a square bowl complete with a deathbox and a long pyramid—most had trouble finding the speed just to clear the top with an ollie. Bastien kickflip backside 180ed it, Andrew Reynolds frontside 180 kickflipped it, Tosh Townend kickflipped it, and Ronnie Creager floated massive switch ollies over the top.
