Virginia Wright attended the University of Maine at Machias where she took coursework in journalism. She first became a published author when a regional magazine paid her for one of her writings- "Faith," which was published in the Washington County Magazine. Additionally, three of her writings- Rosarium, The Blessing, and Faith were published in Soundings, an anthology by The Poetry Fellowship of Maine.

She presently lives on her 20-acre farm with her husband in Ohio- where she continues to write in the hills high above the valley. "Life is but a flicker, then it is gone! Enjoy it while you can..."
