Moisturizer helps, of course, specially if you had a break-out that is healing; the foundation will then go smooth on, when you cover it.
You can apply to only dry areas of your face if you feel greasy after a short time OR if a liquid foundation is enough, since it's liquid, then ok. But try to moisturize some other time of the day though.
You need to specify your foundation type. So if it's liquid, & oil-free (non-comedogenic), which you should choose since you suffer blackheads, it should cover well & then set it with powder. No, not too much makeup. You'll apply it only once a day or twice at most & it'll stay, as powder sets the makeup & absorbs the skin oil.
Liquid makeup is the liquid foundation, by the way. There is the water based kind which is more like waterproof, which is amazing for oily skin & for the summer as the skin sweats. So that it's sweat proof too.
Creamy foundation is heavier, a mix of liquid & powder at once, to disregard you from using powder. But using powder still afterwards is ok. But if you'll use a powder blush, then you won't need the other. Applying this kind of foundation is by wetting the sponge as it's too heavy.
There are green, blue, & purple concealers which colors are strong, to cover the strong redness of a pimple or a spot. You then apply the normal yellow one over, to blend with the complexion's tone.

The easiest time saving to make of what I know are:
LEMON, if OILY skin, to PURIFY. In some cases, it has to be DILUTED if felt ITCHY.
For all skin types:-
1- MILK to MOISTURIZE & COOL down, applied on cotton.
2- ROSE WATER to COOL down & CLOSE pores.
3- White HONEY, the bright one, not the black one. It provides valuable NUTRITION & is fine to apply even everyday, unlike the other facials, that are enough to be applied 2 or 3 times a week.
4- YEAST, of the bread too. It ENORMOUSLY PURIFIES. Eating it too noticeably PREVENTS ZITS from showing right away.
Not totally though cuz zits are from inside, it's HORMONES that cause it. One of the zits' reason is that the body CAN'T GET RID of some bacteria.
I eat yeast & I can tell the DIFFERENCE. I get it from the BAKERY since they use it for bread.
It doesn't taste good but not too ugly. Tip: Keep it in freezer, then eat a big coin sized piece FROZEN with water/juice so as to be able to swallow it & to not taste it at all.
Eye masks: Milk again, CUCUMBER of course, SWEET ALMOND OIL & OLIVE OIL to MOISTURIZE & do other pretty stuff I don't remember.
BUT OILS should be applied AWAY from the EYELIDS itself cuz they'll SLIP into the eye & burn/hurt it. Should be just flushed if occurred.

I do aerobics too at home through downloaded videos, & pilates through videojug.
