Watching Popcorn Pop In Slow Motion Is Out Of This World

Don’t you just love the sound of popcorn popping? Well, there’s an even more satisfying experience out there when it comes to the popcorn making process: watching them pop, but in super slow motion.

In a video posted by YouTube channel Warped Perception – who film a variety of things in spectacular slow motion, from a dog drinking water to a gunshot – you can see what happens when a corn turns into popcorn, close-up and at super slow speed.

The footage was filmed at 1300 and 30,000 frames per second, using a Phantom v2515 camera, and the results are pretty special. We’ve viewed the clip several times now and it gets better every time. But don’t take our word for it,  see for yourself.
